Bellissima Productions is a home for passionate, collaborative artists and seeks to educate members towards self-exploration involving all diverse talents and abilities. The company engages and challenges audiences with unique, dynamic theatrical productions by bringing new voices to the forefront.

ACTS is a non-profit theatre company dedicated to the enhancement of life in the community through the enrichment, education and entertainment of people young and old.

Alleyway produces a continuous season consisting of six to seven new plays each year. Following over 40 seasons in-person, and one digital season, the company is committed to the continued production of new works, in either live or digital formats. Staples of the season include the winning play from our Maxim Mazumdar New Play Competition, the BUFFALO QUICKIES Short Play Festival, and the long running production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. In addition to those annual traditions, Alleyway produces three to four additional new plays and musicals every season.

Just a short walk from the Maid of the Mist, the aquarium has more than 120 species including playful penguins, rescued seals and sea lions, mesmerizing jellyfish and more! Roll up your sleeves and enjoy hands-on animal interactions with sharks and stingrays at M&T Bank Shark & Ray Bay. Watch daily feedings and educational presentations, sea lion shows, and expert talks.

Young Audiences of Western New York’s mission is to inspire, expand learning, and strengthen our community through engagement with the arts. We offer assembly, workshop and long term residency programs with professional artists, committed to their craft, and using it as a tool for creative learning. Art forms include music, multi-media arts, theater, dance, and visual and literary arts. We provide services in the eight counties of Western New York, including Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming.

We believe that the book arts are for everyone, no matter your age or skill level. When you visit us for a hands-on workshop, to view an exhibition in our gallery, or to browse our shop of artist-made goods, we will be happy to share all of our book arts knowledge in an accessible way. Whether you are exploring a creative curiosity, honing your skills as a working artist, seeking professional development or planning a class outing as an educator, or interested in the storied past of book arts as a history buff, we will always meet you where you are in your book arts journey with the right amount of information and support for your project.

The Brazen-Faced Varlets’ mission is to produce consequential works with strong artistic integrity while being committed to promoting the growth of female theater artists. We seek to break out of the traditional and stereotypical gender roles onstage and behind the scenes. Our work is for everybody as we strive to challenge, to provoke, and to delight our audiences.

The Botanical Gardens is a national historic site, education center and tourist destination full of exotic horticulture treasures from around the world. Visitors enjoy the amazing architecture and the indoor and outdoor garden sanctuaries. It is a gathering place where visitors can find peace and harmony and enjoy the simple power of the natural world. Some visitors also see it as a place for spiritual healing, meditation and reflection.

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum (formerly the Albright-Knox Art Gallery) is one of the oldest museums dedicated to the art of our time, and the sixth oldest public art institution in the United States. It was founded in December 1862 as the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy with former President Millard Fillmore among its incorporators. Throughout its evolution to the Albright Art Gallery, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and now the Buffalo AKG, our museum has been led by a series of talented and dedicated directors whose combined influence has given rise to an extraordinary collection of modern and contemporary art.

Buffalo Arts Studio (BAS) was established in 1991 to provide affordable studio space and impactful exposure for visual artists while also offering arts education and meaningful arts access for the entire community. Located on Buffalo’s east side, Buffalo Arts Studio has enriched a previously underserved area through dynamic and engaging arts programming, educational opportunities, and community events.

As Buffalo’s preeminent chamber music ensemble, the Buffalo Chamber Players presents innovative music programs performed by our region’s finest musicians. The ensemble’s mission is to challenge, redefine and enhance the public’s perception of chamber music while promoting the city of Buffalo as an inspiring place to live, work, and play.

The Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus is dedicated to producing vocal music of high quality in the rich tradition of men’s choral singing. We seek through song not only to entertain, but to enlighten. We sing to create harmony as we celebrate pride in the community and in ourselves.

Buffalo Girlchoir was founded in 2015 with the goal of providing exceptional music instruction in the city of Buffalo to girls from all social strata who love to sing. Our first rehearsal took place on October 19, 2015 with 9 singers. By the end of our inaugural season, we had 24 enrolled singers. We continue to grow and flourish and today have more than 80 singers ages 5-18 in 4 ensembles. We have been invited to sing in community events and alongside professional ensembles such as the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Buffalo History Museum has been Western New York's premier historical organization since 1862. We are the keepers of the authentic stories that make our community unique. Our collections, exhibits, and programs tell the stories of the people, events, and movements that demonstrate Western New York's essential place in shaping American history.

Buffalo International Film Festival (est. 2006) champions regional, national, and international films that push the limits of independent cinema – presenting quality films from around the world to WNY residents and visitors. BIFF is committed to amplifying diverse voices and exhibiting cutting-edge programming in narrative, documentary and experimental film. A proud supporter of local filmmaking and the arts; BIFF also offers workshops, seminars, industry panel discussions, fiscal sponsorship and professional development opportunities, as well as an Offscreen series of art, music and performance.

Since 2010, the BMS has been on an aggressive path to renovate all of the museum’s permanent exhibit experiences, transforming its former diorama-based exhibits into eight highly interactive and immersive science studio exhibit spaces. These studios and accompanying workshop spaces leverage collections pieces as a foundation of history and information, and then combine them with immersive exhibits and environments to create modern exhibition spaces. The Museum also added the Buffalo Museum of Science 3D Cinema.

Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village is an educational institution, chartered by the State of New York whose mission is to preserve, interpret, and exhibit the agricultural history and rural heritage of the Buffalo Niagara region. We are committed to making regional history a vital part of the Western New York community and to educating its citizenry in learning to shape a better future for all.

The Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus is an independent symphonic chorus whose mission is to provide the highest quality performances of choral music to the Western New York community while developing singers in the choral arts, through self-sponsored concerts, and as the primary choral partner of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 1940, the orchestra’s permanent home has been Kleinhans Music Hall, a National Historic Landmark designed by Eliel and Eero Saarinen with an international reputation as one of the finest concert halls in the United States. Since its inception in 1935, the BPO has served as Buffalo’s cultural ambassador. JoAnn Falletta is the Music Director of the Grammy Award-winning orchestra, which presents more than 120 Classics, Pops, Rock, Kids and Youth concerts each year.

Dedicated to regional art since 1966. Consistent with its mission as both a single-artist and regional art center, the Burchfield Penney has throughout its history broadened its range of commitments and activities, while intensifying the museum's focus on the work of renowned painter Charles E. Burchfield.

The Carnegie was originally built in 1903 as a Library that was gifted to the City of North Tonawanda by Andrew Carnegie. The building opened in December 5, 1904 and served as a public library for over 70 years. Since 1975, the building has functioned as the Carnegie Art Center providing artistic programming for the North Tonawanda community and beyond. The building features many of the original architectural features from 1904 and is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Sites.

The Chautauqua Opera Conservatory is an intensive educational program that seeks to offer the highest caliber of training for young singers, 18 and older. Under the leadership of Marlena Kleinman Malas, a select group of singers study, coach, and perform in an idyllic setting on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institution in western New York State.  

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) produces high-quality, live theater in a vibrant nine-week summer season. We are committed to the development of new work, the next generation of theater artists, producing galvanizing world premieres as well as exceptional modern and contemporary plays, and infusing fresh insight into the classical canon.

El Museo provides programming and supports Western New York in cultivating a future where our communities are stronger because of the presentation and support of diverse artists and cultures.

A world-class children’s museum that celebrates the power of child-led play has arrived at Buffalo’s doorstep. With four floors of fun to explore, the 43,000 sq. ft. museum sits at the crossroads between replica canals and bridges that have become year-round community destinations. The museum reflects that sense of place with thoughtfully crafted exhibits that help children develop a deeper sense of our world, our community and their place in it in a fun and engaging way for children and adults alike.

Graycliff was built between 1926-31 for Isabelle R. Martin, wife of industrialist Darwin Martin, as a summer home for the family. Standing majestically on the shore of Lake Erie, Graycliff is a monument to one of the greatest American tales ever told. It’s a story about a wealthy businessman’s ambition of building a breezy summer retreat for his family, a woman’s steadfast influence in an otherwise male-dominated society, an acclaimed architect on the downward slope of his career, and a country on the brink of a financial crisis that threatened to extinguish it all. As the Graycliff Story continues to unfold, we welcome you to join us on the journey!

​The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, operated by the Carousel Society of the Niagara Frontier, is a premier national historic site and community resource for family recreation and learning that fosters an appreciation for the unique heritage of the carousel and related industries in the Niagara Region.

The Irish Classical Theatre Company is a performing arts theatre located in Buffalo, NY. It presents outstanding productions at The Andrews Theatre, Western New York's only true theatre-in-the-round. In this intimate setting, you’re never more than 10 feet from the stage.

The Jewish Repertory Theatre is a program of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo. Founded in 2002, the JRT is a professional theatre whose mission is to present high quality plays grounded in Jewish life, themes, and values. Through our productions, audiences of diverse beliefs and backgrounds explore both the uniqueness of Jewish heritage and cultural experiences, as well as those that are shared with others. Drama illuminates the human condition, and the JRT strives to bring this into focus through the lens of Jewish theatre. The Jewish Repertory Theatre is theatre for everyone.

Just Buffalo Literary Center’s mission is to create and strengthen communities through the literary arts. And for more than 45 years, we have brought the world’s greatest writers to Buffalo, hosted poetry events and readings, and supported the development of young writers.

We believe in the love of reading, the art of writing, and the power of the literary arts to transform individual lives and communities.

Visitors from all over the world enjoy walking the Kenan Center campus to see the 1800’s Victorian mansion and the beautifully landscaped grounds that belonged to Mr. and Mrs. William Rand Kenan, Jr. The Center has grown from a community center, which has served the residents of Lockport, New York since its official dedication in 1969, to become one of the premier facilities in the Buffalo Niagara region for arts, education and recreation programming. We provide free or low-cost art classes on a consistent basis for any individual, especially youth, low-income and minority individuals from age 4 to senior adult, to seriously develop the talent and skills necessary to excel in the visual arts.

A National Historic Landmark and a premier New York State Historic Site, Martin House is operated under a cooperative agreement with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation and the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Today, the fully-restored Martin House stands as a compelling symbol of civic identity and cultural pride.

Music is Art is dedicated to creating opportunities that fuel the unifying power of music in our region.

MusicalFare Theatre is a not-for-profit professional musical theatre company dedicated to becoming a significant regional theatre with national prominence by developing and presenting world premiere musicals, re-imagined classic musicals and regional premieres. MusicalFare Theatre is in residence at Daemen University, but independently operated, and performs year-round at its intimate 136 seat theatre. In 2014, MusicalFare added a 97 seat cabaret space where it hosts local, regional, and national cabaret artists throughout the year.

Neglia Ballet Artists enriches the region’s culture and preserves the art of ballet by offering accessible performances, ballet classes, international summer intensive programs, and free workshops for underserved youth. Neglia teaches over 100 youth and adult students each year at our state-of-the-art spacious conservatory on the 6th floor of the iconic Tri-Main Center in Buffalo, NY.

Students ages 8+ are invited to audition to dance alongside professional artists in The Nutcracker held annually at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. In its 12th season, The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition in Western New York and Southern Ontario and delight for all ages.

The Heritage Center preserves the historic role of the people of Niagara Falls in facilitating freedom for the oppressed. The places and stories associated with this network of freedom seekers, free African Americans, and abolitionists evoke powerful themes in American history and celebrate the bravery of the men and women who risked their own lives to achieve the most basic rights of liberty.

With the continued goal of producing high quality opera and quest to bring opera to audiences of all ages and backgrounds, NCO looks forward to building on its success through acclaimed performances, innovative fundraising and community outreach. Celebrating its 13th year anniversary, NCO has garnered artistic praise and is grateful for the generous community support of Western New York.

The Old Fort Niagara Association operates Old Fort Niagara under license from the New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation. The Association is responsible for opening the Fort to the public on a regular schedule, providing visitor services, maintenance and security, upholding State standards for historic preservation, providing interpretive programming and managing and caring for a large collection of artifacts and documentary materials. The Association also manages an ambitious publications program and conducts archaeological research in cooperation with Buffalo State College.

Peach Mag is an independent and volunteer-run literary publishing project. Our flagship publication is our online journal, where we publish a new literary or visual art feature every Tuesday and Friday. We also publish video accompaniments to the journal on YouTube (Bites), as well as two columns of conversations with contributors and friends of Peach (Favorite Books + Indie Lit). In addition to our journal, we produce print anthologies (Mixes + Yearbooks), live and virtual events (Episodes + Crossover Episodes), and an annual apprenticeship for emerging teen editors (Seeds).

Today, the centerpiece of Penn Dixie is a fossil quarry — ranked #1 in the U.S. in a scientific study — which is a global geological treasure that attracts thousands of visitors from across the world every year. Visitors to Penn Dixie are encouraged to collect — and keep — fossils from a shallow ocean environment that existed 380 million years ago.

Reg Lenna Center for The Arts is at the heart of the arts and cultural district in Jamestown NY. The Reg showcases a wide variety of events including live concerts, movies, ballet, orchestras, gallery shows and more. The center includes a 1,165 seat historic theater, a multi-media arts studio, pre-function event space, Bill's Place - home of the 1878 Buffalo Bill Billboard, 3rd On 3rd Art Gallery and WRFA-LP 107.9 FM low power community radio station. The Reg showcases a wide variety of events, workshops, gallery shows and is utilized by many community organizations.

Road Less Traveled Productions challenges audiences through provocative storytelling and passionate artistry. The RLTP Ensemble constructs bold and imaginative ways to explore, discuss, and understand timely and timeless issues that connect diverse communities, globally and locally, to the commonality of human experience. Our mission is to develop the canon of contemporary voices through production of new and notable works by regional and national playwrights, creating unforgettable live theatre experiences that bring value to our lives.
