Alleyway produces a continuous season consisting of six to seven new plays each year. Following over 40 seasons in-person, and one digital season, the company is committed to the continued production of new works, in either live or digital formats. Staples of the season include the winning play from our Maxim Mazumdar New Play Competition, the BUFFALO QUICKIES Short Play Festival, and the long running production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. In addition to those annual traditions, Alleyway produces three to four additional new plays and musicals every season.

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum (formerly the Albright-Knox Art Gallery) is one of the oldest museums dedicated to the art of our time, and the sixth oldest public art institution in the United States. It was founded in December 1862 as the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy with former President Millard Fillmore among its incorporators. Throughout its evolution to the Albright Art Gallery, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and now the Buffalo AKG, our museum has been led by a series of talented and dedicated directors whose combined influence has given rise to an extraordinary collection of modern and contemporary art.

Buffalo Girlchoir was founded in 2015 with the goal of providing exceptional music instruction in the city of Buffalo to girls from all social strata who love to sing. Our first rehearsal took place on October 19, 2015 with 9 singers. By the end of our inaugural season, we had 24 enrolled singers. We continue to grow and flourish and today have more than 80 singers ages 5-18 in 4 ensembles. We have been invited to sing in community events and alongside professional ensembles such as the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 2010, the BMS has been on an aggressive path to renovate all of the museum’s permanent exhibit experiences, transforming its former diorama-based exhibits into eight highly interactive and immersive science studio exhibit spaces. These studios and accompanying workshop spaces leverage collections pieces as a foundation of history and information, and then combine them with immersive exhibits and environments to create modern exhibition spaces. The Museum also added the Buffalo Museum of Science 3D Cinema.

Since 1940, the orchestra’s permanent home has been Kleinhans Music Hall, a National Historic Landmark designed by Eliel and Eero Saarinen with an international reputation as one of the finest concert halls in the United States. Since its inception in 1935, the BPO has served as Buffalo’s cultural ambassador. JoAnn Falletta is the Music Director of the Grammy Award-winning orchestra, which presents more than 120 Classics, Pops, Rock, Kids and Youth concerts each year.

Carnegie Art Center

The Carnegie was originally built in 1903 as a Library that was gifted to the City of North Tonawanda by Andrew Carnegie. The building opened in December 5, 1904 and served as a public library for over 70 years. Since 1975, the building has functioned as the Carnegie Art Center providing artistic programming for the North Tonawanda community and beyond. The building features many of the original architectural features from 1904 and is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Sites.

Standing majestically on the shore of Lake Erie, Graycliff is a monument to one of the greatest American tales ever told. It’s a story about a wealthy businessman’s ambition of building a breezy summer retreat for his family, a woman’s steadfast influence in an otherwise male-dominated society, an acclaimed architect on the downward slope of his career, and a country on the brink of a financial crisis that threatened to extinguish it all. MusicalFare Theatre is a not-for-profit professional musical theatre company dedicated to becoming a significant regional theatre with national prominence by developing and presenting world premiere musicals, re-imagined classic musicals and regional premieres. MusicalFare Theatre is in residence at Daemen University, but independently operated, and performs year-round at its intimate 136 seat theatre. In 2014, MusicalFare added a 97 seat cabaret space where it hosts local, regional, and national cabaret artists throughout the year.

Neglia Ballet Artists enriches the region’s culture and preserves the art of ballet by offering accessible performances, ballet classes, international summer intensive programs, and free workshops for underserved youth. Neglia teaches over 100 youth and adult students each year at our state-of-the-art spacious conservatory on the 6th floor of the iconic Tri-Main Center in Buffalo, NY.

Students ages 8+ are invited to audition to dance alongside professional artists in The Nutcracker held annually at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. In its 12th season, The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition in Western New York and Southern Ontario and delight for all ages.

The Old Fort Niagara Association operates Old Fort Niagara under license from the New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation. The Association is responsible for opening the Fort to the public on a regular schedule, providing visitor services, maintenance and security, upholding State standards for historic preservation, providing interpretive programming and managing and caring for a large collection of artifacts and documentary materials. The Association also manages an ambitious publications program and conducts archaeological research in cooperation with Buffalo State College.

Peach Mag is an independent and volunteer-run literary publishing project. Our flagship publication is our online journal, where we publish a new literary or visual art feature every Tuesday and Friday. We also publish video accompaniments to the journal on YouTube (Bites), as well as two columns of conversations with contributors and friends of Peach (Favorite Books + Indie Lit). In addition to our journal, we produce print anthologies (Mixes + Yearbooks), live and virtual events (Episodes + Crossover Episodes), and an annual apprenticeship for emerging teen editors (Seeds).
